my 48 hours in Florida have come and gone ...
... and Thanksgiving Day was perfect in every way - bright and sunny, about 80 degrees, gentle breeze, gorgeous electric blue sky ... just as Thanksgiving should be if you're a Floridian ;-)
The day started with a little of this ...
And it ended with a little of this ...
The following morning we went to the the ladybugs' favorite 50's diner for a little of this ...
... and then as if in a breath of wind, we were gone again ...
... seems like a dream now that we're back in our regular routine again, those precious hours just flew right by, but they were wonderful hours in every way ... more important than ever before for me to be "at home" with my family, toasting that for which we are most thankful ... especially for our sweet gigi and the gift of f.a.m.i.l.y. she left behind ...
Happy Thanksgiving 2011

Stopping by from Nicolle's blog! I grew up in FL and lived there for 37 years! Looks like you had a great thanksgiving!
Loved your pictures Sloan. Glad it was a wonderful Thanksgiving. The turkey looks delicious, and so does that cupcake. I am sure you thought of your Gigi often over this holiday.
You are just precious!
Your girls are gorgeous!!!
Ahhh Florida...that's where I'd like to be for the winter! So glad you enjoyed your time with your family. I bet your girls had a blast...especially with that adorable cousin!
I can't believe how blond your cousin is. Sounds like a fun trip, time for CHRISTMAS now!
Oh Sloan...FL..if only!! Sorry it was a bit of a whirlwind, but at least you got to soak up the sun and that adorable neice for awhile.:) I am sure the girls loved every minute of it.
Gigi would have been so happy too.

Looks like a great weekend! So happy for you that you were able to grab this quick little dose of family.
I've never seen neopolitan ice cream served with pumpkin pie. hmm...interesting combo. :)
Ok...here's a stupid question. Is that YOU on the couch? I've never seen a "real" up close picture of you so I don't even know!! If it's not you, that pretty lady sure looks a lot like your ladybugs. :)
And...spill it! What lens?!?!?!?
