not sure i'll ever be able to deliver a weekending report with more punch than this one ...
would you believe it if i told you that the four of us went indoor skydiving?!

this was a christmas gift to us from the manbug last year - an adventurous surprise that we all were very excited about ... but somehow the winter ran out on us and we never cashed it in. So by summer's end, we made it our top priority to revisit daddy's skydiving offer and set a date ...
the gift package was for 20 minutes of flying time for the four of us with an instructor - we started with 20 minutes of class time (learning hand signals for 'straighten legs', 'chin up', 'bend legs', etc) and about 10 minutes of time to gear up (jumpsuit, ear plugs, helmet, goggles, etc) and then we were ready to fly!
It's an indoor vertical wind tunnel - the instructor is with you at all times - and it feels just like floating over the strongest wind you've ever felt in your life ... so much fun!!

each of us got 5 minutes inside the wind tunnel - it was broken into 2 1/2 minutes of 'beginner time' for each of us to get our bearings and get familiar with the motions ... followed by another 2 1/2 minutes, which involved a flight that soared much higher because the instructor was flying with you...

still trying to figure out which of these proofs to purchase (suggestions welcome) - at $14 a pop, I need to be careful ... but what an experience this was! Truly incredible - I think the ladybugs will be talking about their 'skydiving' adventure not just at school this week, but for all their lives ... a.m.a.z.i.n.g!
Merry Christmas, Manbug, thanks for the awesome gift ;-)

Good luck picking the photos. . .they are all awesome!
how fun that looks! the pictures are great.
So what I want to know is...what do they think about real skydiving after doing this?
Never heard of this....looks like a great adventure!
Sloan, this is so cool. Wow! This is the only kind of skydiving I would ever try. It looks like so much fun. Thanks for sharing! And I love seeing pictures of the blogger, even in wind suits. You looked like you were having a blast.

OMG. I have got to check and see if we have something like this around here. I think I'd be scared for a minute, but then I would LOVE it. These pictures are awesome! Yes, I imagine your ladybugs will talk about this forever. :)
How frickin' cool is that?!?!? I've never heard of such a thing. I love all of these shots. The one of the manbug cracks me up. The instructor looks like some kind of super hero in that black suit. Did he hold you guys down so you wouldn't fling up to the ceiling or something?!?! Where's the one of you soaring way up high?!?!
ok...that is a weekending opening line that just can't be topped!:
looks like amazing fun. the girls talked us into paying $5 for them to stand in this silly wind tunnel thing they had in a KY mall we were stuck in while our car was being serviced. (take a breath..!) that was crazy, so i can't really imagine what this was like!! they would have loved it..all of us would for that matter.
what a truly one of a kind gift.
way to go manbug!!:)
photos? tough, i love them all! why do they alwasy make those photos so stinkin expensive? i guess because they CAN!!!:)
