It doesn't happen often, but this short feature, shared on facebook by an old high school friend who is now a filmmaker, really got to me ... to the point where I am compelled to repost it (which happens even less often - as in, never). Proceed no further unless you have 5 minutes 31 seconds to really watch this film and allow yourself to be moved. It's spoken in Greek with subtitles below. I found it to be incredibly touching, to the point of tears (don't say I didn't warn you), I hope you do too ...
I have to share this with my family. We've just admitted my mother in law to an assisted living facility for alzheimers. It is such a sad and horrible disease. Thank you for posting this Sloan.
Oh good grief. That really, really got to me! I am like you, I rarely sit to watch something like this and I never repost, but this was so worth it. This was so moving and amazing and beautiful and sad. I cried. I admit I cried after he asked the 2nd time what is that? I could already see where it was going. I let too many little things bother me, and this really shows me how precious life is. I take it for granted too often!
That was a pretty powerful 5 min!! It really ran the spectrum for me...from thinking of the patience we need daily to answer our children in a loving way, to dealing with aging parents, to being that old man myself someday. Wow...I watched it a second time and still I'm crying. Thanks for sharing this Enjoy the weekend
And about all those similarities...just a wee bit freaky...are you sure we weren't sisters in another life or something....!!:) (But no I didn't make any soup or popovers!):)

Wonderful. If you don't mind I think I'll post it on Sunday.
Thanks Sloan,
Dana
I couldn't watch it at first. I knew it was going to be hard. And it was.
